Definition
Loosh is Robert Monroe's term for the subtle energy harvested from human emotional suffering — the "food" certain non-physical entities extract from fear, grief, and conflict. It is the modern name for what the gnostics already mapped as the Archontic feeding pattern.
Deep Understanding
Monroe encountered the concept in out-of-body states at the edges of what he called Focus 21: a non-human intelligence explained that Earth is, among other things, a farm, and that the harvest is a specific energetic substance produced most abundantly by suffering. He named it loosh. Pain produces the most concentrated loosh; love produces a different frequency the farmers cannot easily use; conscious equanimity produces none.
Gnosticism reached the same diagnosis nineteen centuries earlier. The Archons feed on low-frequency emotional resonance. The Demiurge maintains the simulation partly as an energy extraction system. The Counterfeit Spirit keeps the human producing fear on schedule. Different vocabulary, same machine. Whether you call the operator Yaldabaoth, an Archon, or Monroe's "loosh farmers," the practical implication is identical: your unconscious suffering is someone's dinner, and the fastest act of rebellion is to stop feeding the table.
In Practice
The next time fear or rage spikes, do not suppress it and do not narrate it. Simply place attention on it like a hand on a hot stove and watch it. Unobserved emotion fuels the harvest. Observed emotion short-circuits it. You are not meant to avoid feeling — you are meant to stop broadcasting.
In Pleroma's Words
You were told your suffering was meaningless, then you were told it was redemptive. Both stories keep you producing. The truth is harder and cleaner: your suffering is fuel, and the first sovereign act is to metabolize it yourself instead of leaking it into a system that profits from your leaks.
