Transits

Транзити

[TRAN-zits]

Latin: transitus — a crossing or passage; in astrology, the ongoing movement of planets through the zodiac relative to the natal chart

Definition

Transits are the real-time movements of planets through the zodiac as they form aspects to the positions in an individual's natal chart. They represent the ongoing dialogue between cosmic timing and personal destiny — the mechanism through which astrological influences activate specific themes, challenges, and opportunities in a person's life.

Deep Understanding

Every planet is always moving. As it travels through the zodiac, it periodically forms geometric relationships (conjunctions, oppositions, squares, trines) with the positions planets occupied at the moment of your birth. These moments of contact are transits, and they activate the natal potential encoded in your chart.

Not all transits are equal. The slow-moving outer planets — Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Chiron — create the most transformative transits because they linger for months or years, creating sustained pressure for change. The Saturn Return (~age 29), Uranus Opposition (~age 42), and Chiron Return (~age 50) are the three most significant personal transits, forming the major initiatory structure of a human life.

In the Gnostic framework, transits can be understood as the rhythmic breathing of the cosmic order — moments when the Archontic structure of time loosens its grip and the soul has increased access to its own divine nature. Major transits are windows of accelerated awakening, not random events.

In Practice

Track the major transits affecting your natal chart using any ephemeris or astrology app. Pay particular attention to when slow-moving planets (Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) form exact aspects to your natal positions. These periods require conscious engagement: journaling, reflection, and willingness to let go of what the transit is dissolving. Resistance prolongs difficulty; conscious participation accelerates growth.

In The Architect's Words

Transits are not things that happen to you. They are conversations between the cosmos and your soul. The question is whether you are listening.
